A drawn signature and a digital signature are not the same
What you draw here is a graphic signature: an image of your signature placed on the document, exactly like signing a sheet of paper with a pen. It is worth what a signature on paper is worth, and for the vast majority of forms that is what is needed.
A digital signature is something else: a certificate issued by an accredited authority that binds the document to your identity and detects any later change. It is required for documents the law wants digitally signed, and it cannot be drawn: it is applied with the certifier's device or app.
Why printing and rescanning is a bad idea
Everybody's route is to print, sign with a pen and rescan. It costs paper, time and a crooked scan, and above all it turns a text document into a photograph: the PDF is no longer searchable, it weighs ten times as much and whoever receives it cannot copy a single line.
Signing directly on the file leaves the text intact and selectable and the document light. It is also more legible: a signature drawn on screen stays sharp at any zoom, while a rescanned one is a clump of grey pixels.
Where the signature actually lands
The delicate part is not drawing the signature, it is where it lands on the page: between the screen and the sheet sit the zoom level of the view, the rotation of the page (scanned forms are rotated almost always) and the origin of the sheet, which is not necessarily zero.
It is worth rechecking the downloaded file before sending it, opening it in a different reader: if a page was rotated, that is where you see it immediately. And if the form has a thin line for the signature, it is better to sit it on the line rather than inside it, as you would with a pen.
